Local Bay Area wunderchild Thia Megia who was eliminated 2 weeks ago from American Idol will finally have a homecoming concert given to her by her Mountain House community on April 23, 2011.
According to sources close to the MH community, the original date of Thia Megia's homecoming day was supposed to be April 16, 2011 at the Mountain House Central Park. However, MH Board of governor Celeste Farron said:
That was a plan in process, but in Thia's best interest, since she has not received permission to participate from the powers that be at American Idol, we have put on hold our plans to welcome her home/congratulate her.
Thank you all for understanding that this postponement is in keeping with helping Thia honor her contract with and allegiance to American Idol.
Trinity Productions and LMG Attractions were contracted for the benefit concert on April 23 which they official announced in twitter earlier:
