Thia Megia fresh from her stint in her ancestral homeland's American Idol Manila Live Tour have been tapped for several cultural events.
First she will be singing the US national anthem for the Pacquaio vs Marquez bout on Oct. 25, 2011 in Las Vegas.
This event is significant since it was brought about by her chance meeting and subsequent on the spot audition for the pound for pound king Manny Pacquaio.
Next is the published 10th annual Tree Lighting event in Santana Row, San Jose where she is the the featured artist and grand marshall for the event.

Santana Row is the most trendiest place to shop in the Bay Area, (akin to Rodeo Drive in LA) where it serves residents of San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and the East Bay community. It is located smack in the middle of "Little Philippines" where 1.5 Million residents are of Filipino heritage.
